Storm Photos
Just a few images of the team from their undefeated summer season. You can see how hard they work and the fun that they have with the game.
It was a fun summer and all the girls should have wonderful memories of all their hard work and how it paid off.
It really is a great bunch of girls and any parent who has done the "sports thing" before knows what a difference great girls, great parents, great coach makes.
Hopefully everyone will enjoy their time off from basketball and come back hungry for the CYO season.
Parents should be very proud. This is a very special group of girls.

7-0 UNDEFEATED!
Well there ya go! Hudson Storm absolutely crushed St William tonight to complete an undefeated summer season in a 30-9 win at St Hyacinth gym. The lopsided score doesn't tell the whole story of tonight's game. It was a gritty, hard fought victory with girls scrambling for every rebound and every single loose ball. In spite of some questionable officiating the Storm's impenetrable defense, shot blocking, rebounding as well as the pride and determination that has been evident the entire season got the girls the win that they deserved. All the girls should be extremely proud of their accomplishment! Congratulations St Hyacinth Storm! Congratulations Coach Hudson!
We will be putting up some video of the last two games in addition to a Summer STORM highlight film in the next couple of days. See everyone at the pizza party!

Last Game of Summer Storm!
Go STORM!
After beating Our Lady of Hope on Monday night 25 to 3 to go 6 wins against no losses on the season, the Storm had a spirited practice Tuesday evening. Rather than scrimmage Coach Hudson worked on the plays. All the girls in attendance were put through their paces at their respective positions running Five, Pittsburgh, Twirl, 14 High etc.. While all of the girls know the plays they still get flustered from time to time under pressure. After last night they should be far more comfortable as well as confident that their teammates are all on the same page.
Tonight is the final game of the summer CYO season for the Storm. What an exciting season it has been! The girls play St William for the third and final time at St Hyacinth Gym, 7:30pm. St William has consistently been the best competition they have faced in game situations. After three weeks preparation St William will certainly be ready and, although short handed, I know the Storm will be too. It should be a very exciting game!

Here we go!
Big week ahead for the Storm!
Tonight we play Our Lady of Hope, 6pm at Christopher Morley Park Searingtown Rd in Roslyn, bring a chair to sit on. Hopefully it will cool down a little bit before 6.
The girls played extremely well and had a relatively easy time against this team last week. Tonight's game should not be taken lightly, it should be seen as an opportunity to work on the skills they've been learning in practice, to play team ball, get everyone involved and to really start running the plays to perfection. The girls still need to learn to challenge themselves regardless of who the opposition is.
Coach has called a special Tuesday night (6pm St Hyacinth's Gym) practice for a reason. We will meet St William, the best team we have played this summer, at St Hyacinth's Gym on Wednesday night to close out the summer season. The last game St William played was a loss to the Storm on July 22nd. This means that St William has had three weeks to prepare for Wednesday night's game against a team it would very much like to beat. That gives added significance to tonight's game as well as the Tuesday night practice. Our girls have worked very hard this summer. It would be a lot of fun for the girls to close out the summer season on Wednesday night with a bang!
Let's encourage our girls to play hard, play smart, use the plays and skills they have developed and most of all to have fun at tonight's game!

Get Psyched for Game Tonight!
Tonight our girls put their undefeated four wins no losses record on the line. We will be playing Our Lady of Hope for the first time this season. OL of Hope is currently the second place team with a three wins one loss record.
The Storm has been building momentum and if the last practice is any indication it looks like they should be ready to show their best stuff tonight. All the girls were working very hard to learn all of the plays and things are starting to really come together. Wednesday night's practice was especially intense, the girls scrimmaged against one another very, very aggressively. Tonight should be fun, they get to test the progress they've made, their play making abilities, skill and ferocity against their opponent rather than one another.
